What the grant covers
The grant covers 80% of project costs (excluding VAT), up to €60,000, when delivered by a specialist innovation provider. It is aimed primarily at SMEs in traditional sectors.

Amounts based on published information about the call; always consult the current rules on the Community of Madrid's official website.
Indicative example: a fully eligible €60,000 project would mean €48,000 in aid and a €12,000 contribution before VAT. Each beneficiary needs its own scope and supporting evidence; collaboration between consultancies does not guarantee approval. The specific cap for each eligible activity must also be checked.

Before you start
Can my business apply for Cheque Innovación?
SMEs with business activity and a workplace in the Community of Madrid may apply. Priority is given to traditional, non-technology-producing sectors. We review your case during the initial call.
Do I have to pay upfront?
The business normally pays for the project and receives the grant after submitting supporting documentation. We explain the timetable under the current rules.
Can I start the project before applying?
No. The application must be submitted before starting the project.
What if I do not receive the grant?
You decide whether to proceed. If the project depends on the grant, we can wait for the decision before starting.
